Error: Plunger Homing Over Pressure in Alliance 2695 Separations Module - WKB2816

SYMPTOMS

• Plunger homing over pressure (0) or (1) error on startup
• Power-off system, open vent valve, power-on system, error did not occur

ENVIRONMENT

• Alliance HPLC System
• 2695 Separations Module
• 2795 Separations Module

CAUSE

Clogged in-line filter, The number after the error means (0)=Primary pump, (1)=Accumulator pump.

FIX or WORKAROUND

Replace In-Line Filter: part number WAT088084 (also available as pack of 5 as WAT005139)

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

With the vent valve open, solvent exits the system prior to reaching the filter. If the system initializes with the vent valve open, a clogged in-line filter is the most likely cause.
