M-Class driver pack fails to install; error code = 1155 - WKB27315

SYMPTOMS

• Waters Deployment Manager fails to install drivers for the µBinary Solvent Manager and µSample Manager:

ENVIRONMENT

• ACQUITY UPLC M-Class
• MassLynx
• ACQUITY UPLC M-Class Driver Pack v1.53

CAUSE

Extracting the driver pack on a PC with German and English languages corrupts the "µ" in the MSI driver file name. The file names should be:

• µBinary Solvent Manager
• µSample Manager - FL

But they are extracted as:

• ╡Binary Solvent Manager
• ╡Sample Manager - FL

FIX or WORKAROUND

Extract the driver pack on a different PC with only English language installed and copy the extracted folder to the MassLynx PC.
