waters_connect cannot reset communication to ACQUITY UPLC Column Manager after leak - WKB268708

SYMPTOMS

• ACQUITY UPLC Column Manager is in an error state after leak was repaired
• Resetting in software clears the error and instrument moves to idle, but the red X remains
• 
• Further software reset or startup to ready does not correct the issue

ENVIRONMENT

• ACQUITY UPLC Column Manager
• waters_connect

CAUSE

Unknown, but issue is seen in multiple software versions, including the current w_c 4.0 driver pack 3.7.

FIX or WORKAROUND

Reset the LND.
