ACQUITY UPLC HTCH Ethernet switch: Failure to connect instrument modules to Waters DHCP server - WKB2603

SYMPTOMS

• System not able to connect or communicate through the network card or Ethernet switch PCB.

• No lights are visible at any point of operation on the Ethernet switch PCB.

• Instrument modules are not visible in Waters DHCP Server and Loader Utility when going through Ethernet switch PCB.

• Modules successfully visible in Waters DHCP Server and Loader Utility when bypassing the Ethernet switch PCB and connecting directly to each module from PC.

ENVIRONMENT

• ACQUITY UPLC Sample Manager.
• ACQUITY UPLC High Temperature Column Heater (HTCH).

CAUSE

Failed external control cable. No power to Ethernet switch PCB.

FIX or WORKAROUND

Replace part number 441000871 for the CABLE, MOLDED, D-SUB, M-F, 2.5 FT LONG (External Control Cable from ACQUITY UPLC Sample Manager to HTCH).
