ACQUITY pump "Leak Detected" - WKB232901

SYMPTOMS

• "Leak Detected"
• No issues observed with waste routing
• Solvent is wicking along plastic edges and accumulating in sensor region

ENVIRONMENT

• ACQUITY UPLC
• ACQUITY H-Class
• ACQUITY I-Class

CAUSE

The waste cover was overtightened, threading the plastic. A good seal is no longer possible, and solvent is wicking between the edges and accumulating in the sensor region.

FIX or WORKAROUND

Add a seal or change hydrostatic properties of waste cover.

OR

Replace the entire waste tray, making sure to not over-tighten the plastic fittings.
