How to configure ACQUITY with Thermo Fisher Exploris MS 480 - WKB226749

OBJECTIVE or GOAL

Configure an ACQUITY M-Class with Exploris 480 MS in Windows 10.

ENVIRONMENT

• ACQUITY UPLC M-Class
• ACQUITY UPLC
• Thermo Fisher Exploris 480 MS
• Thermo LC Device 3.2 SP2

PROCEDURE

1. Turn off the LC.
2. Confirm LAN settings (IPV6 off, power saving off).
3. DHCP Server Config wizard on 172.16.0.101.
4. Restart the PC.
5. Power-on LC and verify that the M-Class populates correctly into the Waters DHCP Server Configurator (see picture below).
6. Check LAN settings > Control Panel > All control Panel Items > Network and Sharing Center > Change adapter settings. 
   Right-click > Properties > ipv4 > compare settings with the picture below. 
   
7. Restart the PC.
8. Let the customer restart Orbitrap, and let them confirm communications.
9. For LC Device Instrument Configuration, include MS and nanoACQUITY.
10. Start Xcalibur and confirm that MS and LC both show "Ready to Download" status.
