SM-FTN "Tray lost synchronization" error - WKB222449

SYMPTOMS

• "Tray lost synchronization" error occurs on SM-FTN with sample organizer

ENVIRONMENT

• ACQUITY UPLC H-Class
• ACQUITY UPLC I-Class

CAUSE

When the rotary tray rotates, the first plate or the plate transferred from the sample organizer collides with the X shuttle (red frame), preventing rotation and causing an error.

Vibration during operation loosens the nut (orange mark). The X shuttle position changes and interferes with the plate, preventing movement.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Move the bolts and nuts that determine the stop position of the X shuttle (indicated with orange in the photo above), and adjust the position so that the plate does not interfere when the tray rotates.
2. After adjusting to a position that does not interfere, tighten the nut
