Is it possible to change the gain settings using timed events on an ACQUITY UPLC FLR Detector to avoid detector saturation? - WKB209056

Article number: 209056

ENVIRONMENT

  • ACQUITY UPLC FLR Detector
  • Empower

ANSWER

Yes, this is possible and should be used as a standard practice during method development. Timed events are described in the ACQUITY UPLC FLR Detector

user manual. https://www.waters.com/webassets/cms/support/docs/71500142403rb.pdf

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

To change PMT Gain on the FLR during the acquisition, do it in the instrument method's Timed Events table.
The channel field is unavailable because PMT Gain is per detector, not per channel.
