High pressure on ACQUITY Arc - WKB208373

SYMPTOMS

• System pressure when connected with a union is 2300 psi
• The maximum pressure for active column is 2500 psi
• Needle, seat port, and injection valve are not partially clogged 
• No partial clog in the 3-column switch valve
• No partial clog in the column inlet or column outlet tubings
• Switch valve outlet tubing is not partially clogged

ENVIRONMENT

• ACQUITY Arc

CAUSE

The column inlet and outlet tubings are too long, contributing to increased system pressure.

FIX or WORKAROUND

Cut the column inlet and outlet tubing to the length needed. Extra length adds to system pressure.
