ACQUITY PDA detector does not communicate with Empower software - WKB18968

SYMPTOMS

• Empower software shows instrument failure when trying to set up instrument method
• Blinking red light for ACQUITY PDA detector

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower
• ACQUITY PDA

CAUSE

IP address conflict

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Remove the instrument IP address from the Waters DHCP Server Configuration window.
2. Shut down the computer.
3. Shut down the system. 
4. Turn on the computer and log in.
5. Turn on the ACQUITY system starting with the sample manager.
