Agilent LC instrument modules are unavailable (dimmed) in Empower 3 run samples - WKB17760

SYMPTOMS

• When in the Run Samples screen, instruments that previously worked fine are now greyed out and appear offline

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3
• Agilent LC
• Agilent LC driver 2.2 and ICF A.02.04

CAUSE

The Agilent system switched from Compatibility mode to Resident mode.

The cause of this switch is unknown.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Connect an Instant Pilot (also known as "gameboy") to the system and switch it back to Compatibility mode.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

By default this should be ON on the Instrument.
