SYMPTOMS

• Leak at column stabilizer

ENVIRONMENT

• ACQUITY UPLC

CAUSE

Damaged column stabilizer or "shaped" ferrule

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Verify that the fitting is tightened—these fittings are not finger-tightened and require the use of tools.
2. If leak continues, determine if the PEEK ferrule is "shaped" and requires replacement. (Ferrule part 700003114)
3. If the gold fitting is damaged, replace it with Reusable Gold HPFT (700003169), and replace the collet (700003115).
4. If the tubing within the stabilizer is damaged and the collet and screw cannot be removed, replace using the Column Stabilizer Kit, 50/100 mm (205000291).
