SYMPTOMS

  • Cables properly connected for GC with HSS
  • Delay happens on two separate 6890/G1888 systems
  • New instrument method created with the same delay
  • No delay is set in the sample set
  • GC oven time, GC cycle time, and run time are set properly

ENVIRONMENT

  • Empower 3 Enterprise
  • Agilent 6890 GC
  • Agilent G1888 Headspace Sampler

CAUSE

Corrupted project

FIX or WORKAROUND

  1. Create a new project.
  2. Create a new instrument method.
