Gradient does not start for Prep LC with manual injector - WKB121027

SYMPTOMS

•  Gradient does not start in 2555 QGM when rotating manual injector from “Load” to “Inject”

ENVIRONMENT

• Prep 150 LC System
• Prep Manual Injector
• 2535/2545/2555 Quaternary Gradient Module
• 2489 UV/Vis Detector
• Waters Fraction Collector III
• Windows 10
• Empower 3 FR 4
• MassLynx

CAUSE

No, I/O cable to 2555Q.

FIX or WORKAROUND

 Connect injector/start cable from manual injector to “Gradient Start” in 2555Q; “Inject start” in detector and WFCIII.
 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

To make manual injection in Empower:

1) Click Prepare.

2) When Empower indicates "Ready" and "Click Injection", turn the manual injector to the Inject position. 

To make manual injection in MassLynx:

1) Start sample run.

2) When the inlet method indicates "Ready for injection", turn the manual injector to the Inject position. (Turning the injector too early results in no gradient triggering.)
