SYMPTOMS

• Co-eluted peaks seen when MassTrak AAA Eluent A Concentrate (part 186004090, lot 128100171) is used in conjunction with MassTrak Column of batch B0236
• Tyrosine and lysine cannot be separated

ENVIRONMENT

• ACQUITY UPLC BSM
• MassTrak AAA

CAUSE

Root cause is unknown.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Obtain a different lot of MassTrak AAA.
2. Use a column of a different batch.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Information was confirmed by GSS with PIM Chemistry & Consumables Team.

Both the items passed well within their individual specifications. However, when used together, the issue with co-eluted peaks is seen.
