SYMPTOMS

• Analysis created from existing sample set data shows "Unknown Instrument System"

ENVIRONMENT

• UNIFI 1.9.4

CAUSE

"Unknown System" appears when a new analysis is created from an existing sample set and method.
If data is acquired and processed on the fly as an analysis, the system name is reported correctly. Also, reprocessing the analysis does not lose the system name.

It appears that the system name is associated only with the analysis, so if it is not associated when this is created, it is not displayed.

FIX or WORKAROUND

The CRI-794 enhancement request was entered for this behavior. There is no workaround.
