How to clear the "UNIFI Upper and Lower Auxiliary column added" error - WKB24800

OBJECTIVE or GOAL

Clear the "UNIFI Upper and Lower Auxiliary column added" error.

PROCEDURE

  1. Go to Device Management and select the Instrument Systems tab.
  2. Select the Instrument System that is online and select modify (or double-click).
  3. On the middle blue bar, select Startup Shutdown, and then select modify on the right.
  4. There are three tabs: Startup, Shutdown, and Error. For each tab and each Transition (for example, Startup to standby or Startup to ready), select the column manager and select Conditions, select CM-A, and clear Enable upper auxiliary (this will in turn clear Enable lower auxiliary).

  1. Save the changes (floppy disk icon in the top-right corner), and then close down the Startup Shutdown method.
  2. Save the Instrument System modifications.
  3. Go to Device Management and select the WorkStation or LND tab.
  4. Right-click on the WorkStation or LND that is online and select Reset Device.
  5. If the Device can't be reset, clear everything out of the System Monitor and Work In Progress. If necessary, clear the buffered data.
  6. Power-off the Column Manager (CM) and wait two minutes
  7. Power-on the CM and open the Instrument System Console. The Auxiliary CM error will still be there.
  8. Under CM > Setup > Configure > Columns > Edit, the 4 column option may be unavailable; if it is available, skip to step 16.

  1. If it is unavailable, power-off the CM for two minutes.
  2. Power it on.
  3. Reset the CM using the side panel.
  4. Open Column configuration and select 4 columns (even though there aren't 4 columns) and select column 2 to be under column 1 (columns 1 and 2 on the left and columns 3 and 4 on the right).

  1. Select OK to the instructions to close the system console and power-cycle the CM and select Reset.
  2. Close the Instrument System console tab and power-off the CM.
  3. Wait two minutes.
  4. Power-on the CM and wait for it to initialize with a red angry beep.
  5. Open the instrument System Console and go to CM setup > Configure.
  6. Reset the CM using the side panel.
  7. Open Column configuration, select 2 columns, and ensure that the top column is labeled 1 and the bottom column is labeled 2.
  8. Select OK to the instructions to close the system console and power-cycle the CM and select Reset.
  9. Close the Instrument System console tab and power-off the CM.
  10. Wait two minutes.
  11. Power-on the CM and wait for it to initialize and give a green light.
  12. Open the instrument System Console and go to CM setup > Configure.
  13. Reset the CM using the side panel.
