SYMPTOMS
- Analysis method is very slow to open after a signature method is attached
ENVIRONMENT
- UNIFI 1.9.4 and earlier versions
- waters_connect
CAUSE
- Fixed in waters-connect 4.0.0 LTS release due end March 2025
- Signature methods take approximately 70 seconds to open and, when added to an analysis method, make the total time to open increase by the same amount. Defect CRI-4014 was recorded against UNIFI 1.9.4.
- Water in-house investigation has found the root cause is linked to the number of users (including inactive/unlicensed) and the number of folders - allcombinations are checked when adding a signature method. This check will be removed in the next release due in 2025 Q1
FIX or WORKAROUND
- Fixed in waters-connect 4.0.0 LTS release due end March 2025
- There is no workaround to this other than editing the method without signature method and only add once edits are completed.
