Beginning with Empower 3 FR5 SQLNET traffic between Empower nodes and the database are encrypted by default when the Oracle database is installed and operating under the Waters Embedded Software License. (ESL)
Customers installing their own version of Oracle can reference the Table ' Oracle Security settings' in the Empower Installation, Configuration and Upgrade Guide for Empower 3 FR5 or later for the tested settings to encrypt SQLNET traffic.
