How to grant library access in a UNIFI network - WKB15258

OBJECTIVE or GOAL

Allow other users to have access to a custom library in a UNIFI network environment.

ENVIRONMENT

• UNIFI 1.8 Network

PROCEDURE

1. Navigate to Administration > Security > Access Management.
2. From the drop-down menu in the top-left, change to "Scientific Library Folders".
3. Drag the users requiring access from the Global user list (on the right) to the Folder user list (on the left).
4. Click on the role to alter from Logon role if required.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

We found that users on a UNIFI network were unable to create Scientific Libraries, despite having all of the Scientific Library permissions in their role, unless they had access to ALL Scientific Library folders (that is, access to the Company (parent) Scientific Library folder).
