In UNIFI, cannot control the system - WKB14518

SYMPTOMS

  • Acquisition console shows system in error
  • Unable to reset instruments from the acquisition console; it has no effect
  • Unable to take system offline from the device manager; says system is busy
  • Unable to reset the LND/Workstation from the device manager; says system is busy

ENVIRONMENT

  • UNIFI 1.8.2 (workgroup configuration)

CAUSE

Unknown.

FIX or WORKAROUND

  1. Exit all UNIFI client sessions.
  2. Go to the LND and stop the Waters Service Host service.
  3. Restart the Waters Service Host service (wait for the three Waters Service Host exe processes to start back up).
  4. Log back in to the client.
