SYMPTOMS

ENVIRONMENT

  • ACQUITY UPLC, Third Party Control
  • ACQUITY UPLC I-Class, Third Party Control
  • ACQUITY UPLC H-Class, Third Party Control

CAUSE

After loading ICOP 1.4 or higher on an Analyst workstation, the 96-well, 1-mL plate does not appear in the drop-down list of plates in the Analyst batch editor.

FIX or WORKAROUND

  1. Go to C:\Program Files\Analyst\bin.
  2. Run RackBuilder.exe and select the first item in the drop-down list, "AutosamplerPoetDB".
  3. Select "Waters ACQUITY" from the Autosampler drop-down list.
  4. In the Rack section, select "Sampler Manager" from the drop-down list.
  5. Click Edit.
  6. Select "ANSI-96well1ml" and click OK.
  7. Repeat steps 4, 5, and 6 for the "Sampler Manager w/SO".
  8. Click OK to close the software.

 

Testing/verification:

Open the Analyst batch editor and create a batch. The 96-well, 1-mL plate should now appear in the plate drop-down list.

(If you reopen RackBuilder.exe, the ANSI 96-well, 1-mL plate will still look unselected, but it will appear in the batch editor drop-down list after you perform the procedure in this article.)
