Article number: 12611

OBJECTIVE or GOAL

Find the QDa critical read back check report from the Waters service profile.

ENVIRONMENT

  • ACQUITY QDa
  • Empower
  • MassLynx

PROCEDURE

  1. Download  the Waters service profile from the console and extract the files OR just to to File Explorer if possible.
  2. Open the service profile *.zip folder.

For a standalone Empower system navigate to: Empower > Instruments > Log > MS Reports

NOTE: If generating service profile from an Empower Acquisition LAC/E or Server- the MS Report folder will be located in a folder called ServerServiceProfile.zip

For MassLynx navigate to : Masslynx < Intellistart.pro > folder

3. Open the "SystemCheckReport <Date>.xml" file, this will automatically open in Microsoft Explorer. There will be a new file created with a date/time stamp whenever the system is powered on/off or the door is open/closed. This file will contain all the read back values collected during the critical read back checks. If a fail is reported, this file will specify where the failure occurred.

4. Alternatively, open the 'RecentLogDatabase.txt' located in Empower > Instruments > LogDatabase, or open the 'ACQUITY Log.txt', both files also contain the critical readback check data or for MassLynx, open file RecentLogDatavase.text in Program Files (x86)\Waters Instruments\LogDatabase folder

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Example: here, the 'Source Offset (Lens 8) Readback' has failed in negative mode.
