In EDS365 environment, BI Services and Oracle agents do not restart successfully following server reboot - WKB1248

SYMPTOMS

  • BI Services and the Oracle agents do not restart successfully after EDS365 server is rebooted

ENVIRONMENT

  • EDS365 install and image environment

CAUSE

Unknown

FIX or WORKAROUND

1) Determine if the "hosts" file contains incorrect information about the server IP address (C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc).

2) Determine if the path for the ODI_OBI_services.bat file is set up correctly because sometimes the folders are not there (C:\Windows\System32\GroupPolicy\User\Scripts\Logon).

3) Determine if there are any ".lok" files in the following two folders. It there are, delete them and restart the server (you may need to restart the server before you can delete these files):
