Installing SDMS components on clients upgraded to Windows 10 from earlier versions of Windows - WKB7116

OBJECTIVE or GOAL

To restore SDMS client functionality on a client machine which was upgraded to Windows 10 from Windows 8.1 or 7.

ENVIRONMENT

  • NuGenesis 8 SDMS
  • Windows 10

PROCEDURE

  1. Uninstall UNIFY, the Transfer Application, and the SDMS SDK through the Programs and Features control panel.
  2. Restart the computer.
  3. Re-install the SDMS client components.
  4. Install the SR1, FR1, or SR2 patch as appropriate.
  5. Restart the computer.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

UNIFY printing crashes when using a UNIFY template (both in manual and batch mode) and does not print, if the client PC's OS is upgraded to Windows 10.

Printing without using a UNIFY template works.
