To add a certificate to SDMS for LDAP.
ENVIRONMENT
NuGenesis 9 SDMS
PROCEDURE
- Obtain a copy of the LDAP server's public key certificate. The common name on the certificate (the "Subject" or "Issued To" name) must match the name as typed into the LDAP configuration in NuGenesis
- Copy the certificate file or files to the NuGenesis SDMS servers
- Double-click each file to view the certificate properties
- Click "Install certificate"
- Set the Store Location to Local Machine
- Select "Place all certificates in the following store"
- Click Browse and select Trusted Root Certification Authorities
- Click OK
- Click Next and Finish
- Restart SDMS Administrator if it is open
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
SDMS downloads the contents of the trusted root certificate authorties store when it processes an LDAP connection with TLS. It savesthe certificates into one file, CACerts.cer, in the Drive:\Program Files (x86)\Waters\NGSDMS\Common Files folder. The LDAP libraries use this file when authenticating an LDAP connection.
