Can NuGenesis SDMS capture files between folder levels with leaf-level grouping? - WKB55249

Article number: 55249

ENVIRONMENT

  • NuGenesis SDMS 8
  • NuGenesis SDMS 9

ANSWER

No.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Leaf-level grouping means that only files that reside in a folder that contains no subfolders the "leaves" in the directory tree will be archived. Any files that reside in folders that contain one or more subfolders will not be archived.

If you enable Leaf Level Group with a similar structure, it will archive only the files and folders from the last location). Example:

\\PC\Share\Data

\\PC\Share\Data\Office

\\PC\Share\Data\Excel

\\PC\Share\Data\Word

\\PC\Share\Data\PP

SDMS will just archive the folders inside Data (Office, Excel, Word, PP). If you have files in the first path (\\PC\Share\Data) SDMS will not archive.
