ANSWER
Checks take place when capturing the data and before Data Management action. CRC checks are completed when the file is captured, and a record is placed in the NuGenesis database. When the DM module finds a candidate for deletion, it calculates the CRC checksum of the file to be deleted and compares the checksum to that of the file stored in the database. If the two checksums match, the file is considered to be the same as the copy in the database, and DM deletes the file.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
When criteria are met, Data Management deletes the source data from the location.
