Error "Unexpected return value -111 from mobjAaConfigBo.readConfigFile" appears when selecting the Archive Agent in NuGenesis SCC - WKB50264

SYMPTOMS

• The following message appears when clicking on the Archive Agent module:
  • Unexpected return value -111 from mobjAaConfigBo.readConfigFile
• The Archive Agent can neither be configured nor started

ENVIRONMENT

• NuGenesis 8 SDMS

CAUSE

The NuGenesis Archive Agent's configuration files are corrupt.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Move, rename, or delete the following two files:
   • C:\Windows\NG80AAConfig
   • C:\Windows\NG80AAStatus
2. Close the NuGenesis SCC.
3. Log back in to the SCC.
4. Select the Archive Agent module.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The configuration and status files are typically corrupted by the real-time scanning component of antivirus or antimalware packages. Exclude these two files, and all files in C:\Windows that begin with "NG80", from antimalware scanning.
