ANSWER

LMS uses Microsoft's RDLC format for the label templates for Samples, Submissions, and Reagents. These labels can be edited to include fields other than those used in the default templates; however, only the fields that are provided in the sample RDLC templates (which can be downloaded from the LMS database via the LMS client) can be used in these templates. Additional fields, those not included in the DataSet within the RDLC template, cannot be used in the templates. Nor can database queries be used in the templates.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

If custom label templates are required, and the requirements cannot be met with RDLC templates, create a Jasper report template to query the relevant information. The NuGenesis 8 LMS Smart Procedures Pack 1 includes some example Jasper report templates. The Jasper reports, when configured within LMS, are available for use within the Samples and Submissions windows in LMS Sample Management. The reagent inventory cannot use the Jasper templates.
