How to enable debug logging in NuGenesis UNIFY - WKB230641

OBJECTIVE or GOAL

Enable debug logging for the NuGenesis UNIFY print driver. (These components do not use the standard SDMS debug logging registry keys.)

ENVIRONMENT

• NuGenesis 9 SDMS
• NuGenesis 8 SDMS
• UNIFY print driver, including the NGprox process

PROCEDURE

1. Modify the NGSDMS.ini/NG80SDMS.ini file:
   • NuGenesis 9: C:\Windows\NGSDMS.ini
   • NuGenesis 8: C:\Windows\NG80SDMS.ini
2. Add the following lines to the file:
   • [PrintProcessorOptions]
     DebugLogging=ON
3. Save and close the file.
4. Debug logging is now active in the UNIFY print driver and in the NGprox process.
5. The log files will be written to:
   • NuGenesis 8: C:\NG80print.log
   • NuGenesis 9.0: C:\NGprint.log
   • NuGenesis 9.1+: C:\ProgramData\NuGenesis\NGprint.log, ngproxy.log
