Can the NuGenesis SDMS File Capture module capture data from OpenLab CDS EZChrom Edition software? - WKB21084

Article number: 21084

ENVIRONMENT

  • NuGenesis 8 SDMS
  • NuGenesis 9 SDMS

ANSWER

OpenLab CDS EZChrom stores all its data as objects in an Oracle database. NuGenesis does not have a data adapter for OpenLab that would allow it to automatically export data from its database as files on disk for the Archive Agent to capture.

NuGenesis cannot capture data automatically from OpenLab CDS EZChrom without a specific Data Adapter for this software.

It may be possible to capture data with NuGenesis if OpenLab CDS data can be manually exported out of the Oracle database as files on disk. A NuGenesis Archive Template could capture those files.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

NuGenesis is oriented toward capture of files from the network. Any application that stores its data in a database makes it inaccessible to fully automatic data capture from NuGenesis, unless an application-specific Data Adapter is written. Waters has data adapters for two such applications: Waters Empower and Dionex Chromeleon.
