How to determine which NuGenesis SDMS Data Adapters are installed and their versions - WKB14643

OBJECTIVE or GOAL

Determine which NuGenesis Data Adapters and which of their versions are installed on a particular File Capture Server.
Determine the Empower Data Adapter version, based on the Empower Data Adapter revision number, which is obtained from the NuGenesis SDMS Data Adapter IQ Report.
 

ENVIRONMENT

• NuGenesis SDMS 7
• NuGenesis SDMS 8
• NuGenesis SDMS 9

PROCEDURE

Ensure that the computer used for obtaining the Auto IQ report is the active File Capture Server using the Data Adapter type you are interested in.

1. Run the Auto IQ report for the Data Adapters on the appropriate NuGenesis file capture server for the data adapter you are interested in. 

(For NuGenesis 7) … Start > All Programs > NuGenesis 7.0 > IQ - NuGenesis SDMS Data Adapters V7.0.
(For NuGenesis 8) … Start > All Programs > NuGenesis 8.0 > IQ - NuGenesis SDMS Data Adapters V8.0.
(For NuGenesis 9) … Start > All Programs > NuGenesis LMS SDMS > IQ - NuGenesis LMS SDMS Data Adapters.

2.  Look at the top of the report, below "Date/Time report was run", where the installed software version is displayed, similar to that shown below:

Report Parameters:

User login info: Administrator
Date/Time report was run: Wed Jan 20 17:24:36 2021
NuGenesis SDMS ??? Data Adapter (Rev X.Y)

*Note that multiple Data Adapters may be installed, so the "???" refers to the names of the different Data Adapters present on that computer.

If you are interested in the Empower Data Adapter version, match the Empower Data Adapter revision number obtained in the IQ Report to the SDMS Data Adapter version in the following table.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Ensure that the computer you use to run the Auto IQ is the one used to archive data, because the installed Data Adapter version may differ between machines and may not even be installed.
