Error message "NG14837 Invalid Username/Password; Logon denied" when logging in to SDMS Vision - WKB119096

SYMPTOMS

• Error message "NG14837 Invalid Username/Password; Logon denied" when logging in to SDMS Vision
• This occurs for multiple users but not every time for the same user
• IE in compatibility mode and in trusted sites; username and password is correct; LDAP is used but this also occurs for ngprojmgr account; accounts are not locked in SDMS Admin
   

ENVIRONMENT

• NuGenesis 9 SDMS
• NuGenesis 8 SDMS

CAUSE

This seems to be an issue with accessing Waters Wilmslow WiKi in Connections (UC) and SDMS VISION using the same browser. SDMS VISION seems to pick up username from a cookie already stored and identical to that for the Wilmlsow Wiki in Unified Communications (UC).  

FIX or WORKAROUND

Switch to "In Private Browsing" mode in Internet Explorer. You can then use Internet Explorer for both UC and SDMS VISION.

Alternatively, you can try to use another browser (Google Chrome, Firefox, or MS Edge) for UC.
