ANSWER
Section notes, attachments, and links will appear in the document audit trail report; however, deletion of attached files is NOT audit trailed. This is one spot in LMS where a delete action in the client results in removal of the data from the database, rather than changing the deletion flag from N to Y, as is the case with everything else in LMS that can be deleted. So, if a user attaches a file to a section and later deletes it, the file will not appear in the audit report. LMS section attachments were not intended for storage of files with full audit trail; instead, the files should be archived in SDMS and linked to the LMS document via the SDMS browser.
Section links and notes will appear in the doc audit report, provided that those options are selected. Links can be deleted, and deleted ones will appear in the report. Section notes cannot be deleted.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
In NuGenesis 9.1, there is a new "SDMS Upload" function in LMS in which a user can send a file for storage in SDMS. Files that are uploaded to SDMS will be in the SDMS audit trail.
