Error "ExecuteTemplateCommand. (5): Argument 'Index' is not a valid value..." appears in the NuGenesis Archive Agent log file - WKB100248

SYMPTOMS

• The following message appears in the NuGenesis SDMS Archive Agent log file:
  • ExecuteTemplateCommand. (5): Argument 'Index' is not a valid value...
• This error message occurs for each execution of a template line

ENVIRONMENT

• NuGenesis 9 SDMS
• NuGenesis 8 SDMS

CAUSE

1. The scan path in the template line is not a well-formed UNC path.
2.  Project tags were not set properly as per template requirement.

FIX or WORKAROUND

Solution 1:

1. Edit the archive template in SDMS Administrator and ensure that the scan path in each template line matches the following format:
   • \\hostname\sharename\optionalFolderName
2. Save and close the template.
3. Restart the Archive Agent.

Solution 2:

1. Ensure that Project tags are correct per the template requirement.
2. Ensure that all required Template fields are filled. 
3. Save and close the template. 
4. Restart the Archive Agent.
