Intermittent IP conflict errors - WKB56069

SYMPTOMS

• IP conflict errors appear intermittently
• Samples sometimes run okay; other times, inlet editor status LED is red and samples do not run

ENVIRONMENT

• MassLynx
• Empower

CAUSE

Instrument LAN and Corporate LAN are configured on incorrect network cards.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Ensure that the Instrument LAN and Corporate LAN cables are in the correct network cards in the PC.
2. Reconfigure network settings (configuring a bridge if required for the Instrument LAN).
3. Clear DHCP addresses, reboot the PC and instruments.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

If Open Access report emailing is being used, the customer's IT department will need to be contacted to configure the OA emailing service (a new corporate IP address may have been automatically assigned).
