How to limit the MassLynx's OpenLynx processing method to a specific retention time range - WKB4278

Article number: 4278

OBJECTIVE or GOAL

Want to set the start and end points for OpenLynx to process DAD data so that the high organic wash step (that was included in the acquired run time) is not included for processing.

ENVIRONMENT

  • MassLynx
  • OpenLynx

PROCEDURE

  1. Go to the OpenLynx section within MassLynx.
  2. Select the Setup Icon.
  3. Go to the File menu and select Open.
  4. Browse for the OpenLynx parameter file, or *.olp, you wish to alter.
  5. Once opened, go to the DAD Data tab.
  6. Change the Start Time (min) parameter from the default value of 0.0000 to the desired start point.
  7. Change the End Time (min) parameter from the default value of 0.0000 to the desired end point.
  8. Go back to the File menu and select Save or Save As to save the file.
  9. Reprocess results using the newly saved *.olp file.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Similar restriction of retention times can be used with other data types.  For example, the MS+ Data tab would be for positive mode MS data,  MS - Data for negative Mode MS data as well as the the Analog Data tab for Analog data.

For Start Time and End Time, the default value of 0.0000 specifies that the whole run is used for processing.

In addition, you can select "Enable Timed Integration" which allows you to set specific integration intervals and integration parameters, this will override the global start and end time parameters.
