Article number: 315460
SYMPTOMS
- When you create a new MRM method in MassLynx SCN 1050, the collision energy is not saved
- The value for collision energy looks like it is accepted, but when the saved method is reopened, the Collision (V) box is empty
- Collision energy is recorded as 0.00 if the method is printed
- Collision energy is saved for Parent or Daughter scans
- Comments entered in the MRM method channels are not displayed in the method editor, but they are saved in the method
ENVIRONMENT
- MassLynx
- Xevo TQ-GC
CAUSE
Bug in the software - CRI-9019 raised
FIX or WORKAROUND
- This is fixed in SCN1051 (667007867DD)
- Workaround available but not recommended: Add Formula column in the registry:
- Close MassLynx.
- Open the registry editor (regedit).
- Browse to Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Micromass\MethodEditor\MS EditorMRM.
- Select Binary Data "Column Width(7)" and add a value (for example, 95).
- Close the registry editor.
- Open MassLynx and the MS method editor.
- Create a method from "New".
- A column titled "Formula/Neutral" appears.
- Values specified in this Formula column are used as the Collision Energy.
NOTE: The software still requires a value to be specified in the "Collision (V)" box, but it is not used.
