Detector does not start acquisition - WKB27258

SYMPTOMS

• Detector does not acquire data
• Removing the detector from Inlet Configuration and adding it again does not help

ENVIRONMENT

• MassLynx
• 2489 UV/Vis Detector
• 2996 PDA Detector
• 2998 Photodiode Array Detector
• ACQUITY UPLC PDA Detector

CAUSE

Events and triggering are not set up correctly. 

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Open the inlet method.
2. Go to Tools > Instrument Configuration.
3. Click the Events and Triggering button.
4. Step through the wizard to the Triggering page.
5. Verify that the correct setting is enabled for triggering the detector: Trigger by Contact Closure or Trigger by Software
6. Click OK.
