- Save the current sample list if prompted.
- Specify a Project name, Description (optional), and set the file path Location (Note: defaults to the folder location of the current project).
- Select Create using current project as template (do not select Copy Sample Lists).
- Click Finish.
- Click OK to the message regarding the current sample list being invalid.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Note: The message regarding the invalid sample list essentially means that the sample list that was open in the old project does not exist in the new project. This is not an error. This is expected behavior.
For good project management in MassLynx, a new project should be created after approximately 2500 to 3000 injections. When the number of .raw files (one .raw file = one injection) becomes too large, the indexing of the files in the project by the operating system can interfere with MassLynx being able to access existing files or create new files.
