How to make the mandatory setting change for Windows 10 PCs to enable proper functionality - WKB239714

Article number: 239714

OBJECTIVE or GOAL

Make the mandatory setting change for Windows 10 PCs to enable proper functionality.

Waters’ Computer Images for Windows 10 have a local group policy that subjects users with administrator privileges to User Account Control. This prevents several aspects of software from functioning as intended, giving symptoms ranging from improper instrument control to problems installing, running, and/or configuring software. This article details how to switch off this account restriction. This must be done before installing any software.
