Cannot load GC method for APGC - WKB2350

SYMPTOMS

• When the GC method loads, the inlet editor shows a red OK light

ENVIRONMENT

• MassLynx 4.1
• Agilent 7890 GC and 7693 Autosampler
• APGC

CAUSE

The method is configured for a back injector, but there is only a front injector present.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Determine where the injector physically resides on the GC instrument (front or back).
2. Modify the method for the correct injector position. Autosampler > Injector > [select front or back], and ensure that the injector type is correct.
3. Save the method with a new name.
4. Load the method. In the inlet editor, select the GC drop-down and load method.
5. Wait for two green lights (for Ready and OK) on the status tab of the inlet editor.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

If this does not sort the load method error: Open Default.A7890 and create a new method from scratch using the default method as a template.
