Communication failure error appears in the MassLynx MS console - WKB230228

SYMPTOMS

• In the MS console, "Communication failure / Software communication failure" seen when the IntelliStart option is picked for the MS:
• MassLynx's tune page can control the MS
• When exiting out of all programs and running StopAcquityprocess.cmd, followed by software restart, the software does not clear the error
• There is no resolve button in the MS console for the MS to select
• Resetting instruments in the MS console does not fix the issue
• Power cycling the entire system does not fix the issue

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Run the Masslynx Installer and choose the repair function
2. Reboot EPC afterwards
