- "Object reference not set to an instance of an object"
- Console closes
- Other debug error messages may include "System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object"
- Communications lost when priming inlet (e.g., QSM)
ENVIRONMENT
- MassLynx
- Antivirus software
- Cisco Amp End point protection
- Kaspersky Endpoint Security
- ACQUITY UPLC H-Class Quaternary Solvent Manager (QSM)
CAUSE
Unsupported antivirus software (e.g., Kaspersky Endpoint Security or Cisco Amp End point protection) pushing updates to the PC
FIX or WORKAROUND
- Remove the antivirus software and use a supported version (see software release notes).
- Alternatively, disable real-time scanning and automatic updates during data acquisition and try to configure the software for exceptions for MassLynx files (unsupported).
