Noise-reduced HDMSE data fails to import to Progenesis QI - WKB208082

SYMPTOMS

• Importing HDMSE raw noise-reduced data to Progenesis QI using Waters Compression Tool fails with a generic error code (109, 0x6d).
• The original raw data (none noise reduced) imports correctly

• Waters Compression Tool (SCN968)

CAUSE

This occurs when flow is diverted to waste at the start of the analysis.

FIX or WORKAROUND

SOLUTION 1

• Remove the flow diversion to waste.

SOLUTION 2

• Keep flow to waste for the desired time. Start the MS acquisition after the diverter valve switches to MS.
