ChromaLynx processing fails with "Runtime error"- WKB20706

SYMPTOMS

• ChromaLynx targeted screening fails with a "Runtime error" a few minutes after the start of processing
  • The error is: Runtime Error !
  • Program: C:\MassLynx\Identify.exe
  • Abnormal Program Termination
• The failure occurs when processing multiple, 2-3 GB data files; each sample can be successfully processed separately

ENVIRONMENT

• MassLynx 4.1, any SCN

CAUSE

Software design limitation

FIX or WORKAROUND

Process the samples in two batches using two different methods—for example, one with start and end RTs set to 0-10, the other with start and end RTs set to 9.5-14.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Software development says that this will not be fixed, because it would require a major rewrite of ChromaLynx.
