"You selected to run in combined fluidics mode but there is no flow from inlet" message appears when trying to run IntelliStart - WKB12708

SYMPTOMS

• "You selected to run in combined fluidics mode but there is no flow from inlet" message when trying to start IntelliStart
• Warning triangle on flow state in IntelliStart setup parameters: "Please ensure that the inlet is configured"
• Flow state set to combined
• ACQUITY I-Class system configured in MassLynx
• Rebooting the system does not resolve
• PC has difficulty rebooting
• Deconfiguring and reconfiguring inlet system in MassLynx does not resolve
• If flow is started through the ACQUITY Console, the error message does not appear
• H/W issue with PC (determined by the IT person on site)

ENVIRONMENT

• Xevo TQ-S micro
• ACQUITY I-Class UPLC
• MassLynx 4.1 SCN 945
• IntelliStart

CAUSE

Communication issue between the MassLynx inlet configuration and the ACQUITY MS console

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Resolve the issue with the PC and its ability to reboot.
2. Reboot the system.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The yellow warning triangle with the message "Please ensure that the inlet is configured" when the flow state is set to "combined" is expected behavior. It is not an error. If the flow state is changed to "infuse", the warning goes away.
