SYMPTOMS

• Operate trip (software time out) error in MassLynx
• No communication with MS 
• MS not in console
• Soft reboot (telnet) is unsuccessful
• PC reboot unsuccessful

ENVIRONMENT

• Xevo TQD
• Xevo TQ-S micro
• MassLynx

CAUSE

The PC is networked. 

Background updates or antivirus checks on the network may be causing a momentary loss of communication while running samples.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Reboot the PC.
2. Reboot the MS via reset button (next to power switch). 
3. Open MassLynx.
4. If reboot unsuccessful, power cycle the MS with the main power button (will crash vent system). 
5. Open MassLynx.
