CAUSE
From Lenovo troubleshooting the following is thought to be the cause:
When entering or resuming from Sleep states (S3 or S4), the ThinkStation diagnostic display may turn on (4-digit diagnostic panel on P900/P910/P920 or orange triangle on P500/P510/P700/P710/P720). In certain circumstances, the system may also hang. Additionally, when the Diagnostic logs are checked with the ThinkStation Diagnostics Windows app or the Lenovo Workstation Diagnostics/PC Diagnostics mobile apps, multiple and unrelated diagnostic errors may appear in a short period of time. The above symptoms are likely caused by an external voltage (3.3V, 5V, 12V) being back-fed into the system from a device other than the system power supply.
Solution:
FIX or WORKAROUND
1. Check all display cables and dongles. Cables or dongles which use Pin 20 (DP PWR Out) should not be used with Lenovo Workstations. Ensure your monitor cable/dongle are supported by Lenovo.
2. Check other peripherals and I/O devices which have external power sources and disconnect to see if the problem resolves.
If neither fix the issue replace the PC and return it to Lenovo
